Duo Halloween Costumes
One of my favorite things about Halloween is getting the chance to dress up with your best friend! Whether the vibe is silly or iconic, I have put together a lookbook of duo costumes that are sure to match the energy you and your bestie give off! With the Halloween season quickly approaching, I am SO happy I get to share all of these amazing ideas with you so you are ready and prepared for the holiday!
We are starting the lookbook off with one of THE most iconic duos in Disney Channel history: London Tipton and Maddie Fitzpatrick. I can’t tell you how many times I watched The Suite Life of Zack and Cody while dreaming about wearing one of London’s iconic outfits. Plus, I can’t lie, I always kind of wanted to work the candy counter with Maddie…
While this duo may be best described as frenemies, I still think they are an amazing costume for you and your real bestie. I remember watching Mean Girls and thinking how amazing every single one of their outfits was, and what’s more recognizable from the film than Regina’s iconic baby tee look and Cady’s oversized polo she borrowed from Damian? Truly, this is one of my favorite costumes from the lookbook!
Every single time I log onto TikTok, I think I see at least a million edits of the different Barbie movies. When thinking about my favorite, it has to be The Princess and the Pauper! From the songs to the furry sidekick cats, this movie has everything I love in a movie, and it brings me such joy! This is the perfect look for those besties who have their own signature colors (pink and blue!).
Continuing with some of the most amazing characters from Disney Channel, I give you Sharkboy and Lavagirl! Tell me you didn’t watch this movie and dream about having neon pink hair that is constantly glowing and blowing in the wind?! On the other side of it, Sharkboy has the most amazing song in the film, and I’m obsessed with the way I was able to channel his look into this one. You and your bestie will be a force to be reckoned with in these costumes!
With the Lilo and Stitch live action movie coming out this year, now is the perfect time to dress up as the duo. When I was watching the film, all I could think about was laying out on a gorgeous beach in Hawaii…Which is what we all dream about during these fall months! I love how I was able to use the same pieces to create each different look, so you and your bestie can match while still channeling different characters!
If you remember when I went to Disneyland earlier this year, Will and I got matching sweatshirts of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, which is the direct inspiration for these costumes! There is just something so pure and adorable about these characters, and if you and your bestie match their vibe in real life, why not dress up as them for Halloween?! Plus, are those ear headbands not the cutest things you’ve ever seen?!
As someone who did theater, I was not a trained dancer in the sense of being a ballerina, but I can totally appreciate all the hard work that goes into it! So, when I was thinking of other iconic pairs in history, how could I not include the Black and White Swan? These are such simple costumes, but you and your bestie can totally create beautiful makeup looks that will make you two the best dressed wherever you go!
If you and your best friend are looking for a costume that is nostalgic, bright, and fun, you two need to be Care Bears! I can’t believe this isn’t a costume I have put together before because I can’t get over how absolutely amazing these looks are! The best part is, you can totally change the colors of the items I’ve linked and choose the Care Bears that best represent you and your best friend!
As someone who is obsessed with a sweet treat, I thought it was the perfect idea for you and your bestie to channel your inner sweetness and dress up as Strawberry Shortcake and Lemon Meringue! These are THE perfect costumes if you want a simple but effective look that makes you look adorable while not dressing over the top. What really completes these looks are the amazing fruit purses I was able to find!
If you and your best friend have completely different vibes, you might as well dress up as one of the most opposite pairs of all time: Fire and Ice! I love costumes that aren’t directly related to characters as I think they’re different from what people expect in the best way possible. From the flame sunglasses to the ice jewelry, you and your best friend will look fire (and cool) at the same time!
