Halloween Costumes You Have in Your Closet
Halloween time is quickly approaching, and this year, itโs time we stay ahead of the game and plan our Halloween costumes early! One of the easiest ways to find your costume (especially if youโre dressing up for multiple occasions) is to look in your closet. Iโve put together this lookbook full of items you most likely have in your closet, and youโll only have to shop for certain accessories to complete the look!
Starting the lookbook off strong, we have the icon of the season: Glinda the Good! With the second Wicked movie coming out, Glinda is THE perfect costume to wear to celebrate its release. If youโre like me, you definitely have a pink dress in your closet that will set the tone perfectly for the outfit. All you need is a tiara and some gloves to look like youโve traveled straight from Oz in a bubble!
If youโre anything like me, your closet is overflowing with products from Victoriaโs Secret, and now that the fashion shows are back, this is the perfect time to channel your inner Angel! Put on any items you have from the store along with the robe, and you look like youโre ready to walk the runway. To really sell the look, put your hair up in rollers to get the iconic Victoriaโs Secret blowout!
Itโs a tradition that when I create these Halloween lookbooks I include at least one Disney Princess, and the easiest one to dress up as if youโre a girly girl like me is Sleeping Beauty. Pick out your favorite pink dress and grab your pink eye mask to show you are the sleepiest princess of all. If youโre looking to really sell the look, buy yourself a gold tiara and a rose necklace, and everyone will know exactly who youโre going for.
Being a Pilates Princess for Halloween has to be one of the most iconic and useful costumes you could possibly wear. Not only will you look adorable, but you can totally hit the gym before going out to party! I bet you have all of the workout gear already in your closet, so all you need to get yourself is a tiara. Plus, if you wear your weights, your arms will be getting nice and toned all night.
If you didnโt know, a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is currently being filmed right here in New York City, so whatโs better to celebrate the film than honoring it with a hilarious punny outfit. All you need is a red dress, devil horns, and a printer to print yourself out the prada logo to tape to the front of your outfit. I feel like this outfit is super adorable, and I bet youโd be getting compliments for originality all night long!
One of my latest obsessions this year has been my Juicy Couture tracksuit, and one of the top comments I get is that itโs giving Cheetah Girls. So, if you also have one of these pink tracksuits (or really any color) lying around, itโs time to channel your inner cheetah sister! I found these amazing replica headbands on Etsy that you and all your friends can get to match together. This is literally an ICONIC group costume!
You know I could not put together a Halloween costume lookbook without including at least one Gossip Girl outfit. Normally, I channel my inner Blair Waldorf, so to switch things up, I thought I would include a Serena costume this year. Again, this is such a simple and easy look that you could easily put together by rummaging through your closet and maybe your boyfriendโs, too! Of course I had to include a ginormous bag because who is Serena without an extra tote?
If you loved The Devil Wears Prada costume, then you are going to love the Party Animal costume! How many times have you asked yourself, โwhat am I going to do with these extra party favors and decorations?โ And now the answer is simple: use them for Halloween. All you need to do is find any animal print in your closet and put on a party hat to literally transform yourself into a party animal!
Of course I needed to include another Disney costume in this list, so I went ahead and included one of the most iconic villains: The Red Queen. From a red dress to a pack of cards, these are a bunch of accessories you definitely have lying around your house somewhere. Once again, if you really want to go over the top, treat yourself to a matching tiara because girl you deserve it!
To complete the lookbook, I wanted to include one of the most simple yet iconic looks in pop culture history: โ...Baby One More Timeโ Britney Spears.โ I swear, we ALL have similar pieces in this look lying around in our closets, and when they all come together, you truly become one of the most influential pop girlies of all time. Bonus points if you still have a Walkman that you can play her songs on all night!
I hope you all LOVED the first Halloween costume lookbook of the season! I hope youโre excited for all the new ones that will be coming up as we get closer to Halloween!
