Groomsmen Proposal Boxes

Will and I are officially in the planning stages of our wedding, and one of the first things we did was create groomsmen proposal boxes for Will’s party! This was SO exciting for me as it was like a little taste of what it’s going to be like when I ask my bridesmaids, and seeing Will ask each of his friends only made me even more ready to ask my girls! Creating the groomsmen boxes is currently live on my YouTube channel as a part of my wedding series, but I wanted to put a blog together of everything that went into the boxes if you’re looking for inspiration!

Box

Probably the most important thing to start with when making your groomsmen proposal boxes are the boxes themselves! I personally wanted a classic white base so I could add accent colors and the initial to the top of the box without it getting lost. These boxes were easy to assemble and held everything I wanted inside!

Ribbon

As I just said, I knew I wanted to tie each box up with a beautiful blue ribbon. Will fell absolutely in love with these navy ribbons, and I knew they would be the perfect color that would match the vibe of his entire box. These ribbons were from Amazon, and I would totally order them again for any other wedding projects!

Paper Filler

Before I started to stuff the boxes, I filled them with crinkle paper! I think this adds just a nice pop of color to the box, and it keeps everything from moving around and shifting. While we didn’t put anything fragile in the boxes, I think this would be a great filler to make sure nothing would break when moving the boxes around!

Socks

When deciding what to put in the box, I really wanted to gift things to the groomsmen that they were going to use! So, the first thing that came to my head that every man needs and wants is a nice pair of socks. These Ralph Lauren ones were the perfect shade to match the ribbon, and Ralph Lauren comes into play later in these boxes as well so it all went together so cohesively!

Soap

Continuing with the theme of choosing items the guys would actually use, I landed on body bar soap! I wanted to include some type of self care item, and I felt like a bar of soap was the safest bet (because who doesn’t use a bar of soap?). I got two different kinds of scents, and they smelled SO nice!

Luggage Tag

Once I decided on the Ralph Lauren theme for the boxes, I truly started to run with it. To me, Ralph Lauren is aesthetically pleasing and elegant, and what’s more luxurious than a customized luggage tag. This is something I feel like people never treat themselves to, so I thought it was a nice addition to the box!

Teddy Bear Napkin

Tell me this teddy bear napkin is not the cutest thing you have ever seen in your whole entire life?! One of my favorite things about Ralph Lauren is the teddy bear, so I truly am obsessed with this little one in a suit drinking a martini. These are just a little extra addition to the box to make it a little more cuter when you open it up!

Suit Up Card

For Will’s box, I made customized notecards that we stuck on the top of the box, but it was actually this card that was the inspiration for what I created. I truly loved the whole “Suit Up” phrase, and I think it was a nice thing to see as soon as the men opened up the boxes and realized what it was!

Planning our wedding has been one of the most special and amazing blessings Will and I could have ever asked for. We are truly taking in each and every single task with joy, and I am so thankful I get to share it all with you in my wedding series!
