July Favorites
Happy August! I can't believe summer is coming to an end, but to be honest with you, I have been incredibly excited for fall. However, I am not someone to wish seasons away, so you know I will be soaking up every last drop of sunlight before summer ends. While I was super busy with Miss New York during July, I put together some of my favorite products that I know you will love!
Flower Boxes
One of the ways Will and I spruced up our apartment this summer was by redoing our balcony. It is one of our favorite places to relax after a long day and watch the gorgeous sunset against the New York skyline. We have super limited space, so when I found these flower boxes that hang off the balcony rail, I knew they were perfect! I feel like a proud plant girly every time I go outside now!
Facial Toner
After Miss New York, I have really been focusing on taking care of my skin and giving it the refresh it needs. The Beekman facial toner is a new product that I started using in June, and let me tell you, the results have been insane this month. My favorite part is that it comes in a spray bottle, so it's a super easy step to add to any morning routine.
Bronzing Face Mist
Speaking of skincare, I have fallen in love with this facial tanner from St. Tropez! Typically, face tanners always look so blotchy and uneven on my face, and I have to be careful because my skin is super sensitive. However, this tanner is now my holy grail, and I spray it on my face every night after my nighttime moisturizer!
Slip Shorts
During the summer, I love throwing on a dress and heading out the door without having to put too much thought into an outfit. However, windy days and breezy subway gates mean I need to put these slip shorts on under my dresses. What I love most about these is the lace detailing on the bottom, so if they pop out of my dress, it looks super cute!
Steamer
If you were keeping up with my Miss New York vlogs, you would know that my steamer broke right before the competition. I was freaking out, and I ordered this one on Amazon; I'm so glad I did! I love how it stands up by itself and takes care of every single wrinkle imaginable. This has been my go-to for steaming before early morning shoot days.
False Lashes
If you're looking for a flawless pair of false eyelashes, you need these Ardell falsies! I started using these for Miss New York, and they are now my favorite lashes in the world. They last for a super long time, look natural, and don't leave your lashes feeling heavy. A new LN vanity essential for sure!
Mascara
With so many makeup recommendations on TikTok and Instagram, I forget how much I love some of my staple products like this L'Oreal mascara! If you've been watching my TikToks recently, chances are this is the exact mascara I'm wearing. Not only does it make my lashes super long, but it's one of the most affordable mascaras I've ever seen!
Matching Luggage
If you see me walking around with my bright pink luggage thinking I'm Barbie, what about it? When I saw this luggage set online, I knew I had to buy it because it is EVERYTHING! I adore the color, and let me tell you, even as an overpacker, I was able to fit everything I needed for competition week for Miss New York (and it was a LOT).
Cherry Pitter
Hear me out on this one, girls, because I know it is super niche! Recently, my go-to late-night snack has been cherries, but they are literally one of the messiest fruits to eat. So, when I saw this cherry pitter, I felt like it was made just for me. Trust me, it makes eating cherries a breeze!
Running Shorts
When I was on my Miss America Fit journey, one of the ways I loved to exercise was running or walking on the treadmill. When picking out what I was going to wear, I found myself constantly reaching for these lululemon run shorts. I shared them on my Instagram a couple of weeks ago, and SO many of you shared how much you loved them too, so they're totally worth the investment!
