What I’m Packing for Miss New York Workshop
I can’t believe the time for workshop is finally here! It feels just like yesterday we were packing up as Miss Metropolitan and getting ready to leave for my own Miss New York Workshop! As I am packing up everything I need, I wanted to share some of my essentials and faves for weekends back in pageantland!
Sash and Crown Case
You can’t go to workshop without your sash and crown! I turned this makeup case into a crown box for appearances, and boy has it been a lifesaver. I can keep all my necessities with me inside of it, and it is the first thing I packed for this weekend!
Water bottle
A water bottle is of course something you need! Typically during workshop, you will be taking in a lot of information for a long period of time and moving around to get from place to place. To stay hydrated, I love grabbing a bottle like this one that won’t spill when I throw it into my bag!
Bag
I bought this pink bag for last years workshop, and it’s coming out again! You truly want a bag that will fit EVERYTHING you need for the weekend. Some systems or states may even ask you to bring a computer or tablet, so your bag can end up being stuffed if it isn’t big enough.
Face Tanner
I have fallen in LOVE with this new product from Loving Tan. It’s their ten minute express tan, and it is great to apply quickly for any last minute events or changes in your tan. If you've been watching any of my videos lately, you have definitely seen me using this in a pinch!
Title Jacket
I love bringing a sweatshirt to workshop in case it gets cold in the rooms we’re hanging out in. I bought this one right before workshop last year, and it was one of my most used items. It’s great to lay in my lap for those chilly moments!
Blister Band-aids
These band-aids are literal lifesavers when you have blisters on your heels! Whether I get blisters from walking in my heels too long or wearing heels that aren’t broken in, these always help relieve any pain. These are ALWAYS in my crown box!
Portable Charger
I bring a portable charger with me everywhere I go during workshop weekend. There are so many instances where you will have to be on your phone for long periods of time, and you never want to have a dead phone in case you miss something important!
Alani
You already KNOW the caffeine will be flowing! I typically grab an Alani at the gas station or store before getting to the hotel to make sure I am energized and ready for the weekend. Plus, I personally love a cold Alani, so I like to have it chill in the fridge before I drink it!
Under Eye Masks
If you have ever seen a video of me getting ready for the day, you know I love to put eye masks on right before. I love to put them in the fridge before I use them so it gives me a cooling feeling under my eyes. Plus, they’re perfect to wear in the early morning to help wake you up!
Coffee Sleeve
Yes, I know I just talked about having an Alani before but…I did my research and found out there is a Starbucks right around the corner from where we’ll be staying. So, I need to bring my crown coffee sleeve! Not only is this cute, but it helps keep my hands warm and my drink cold! Plus, I always know which one is mine.
Lashes
These are the BEST lashes I have ever owned. These are always in my makeup bag for pageant events because of how gorgeous and durable they are. My makeup look is never complete until I put these on. I truly have never loved a brand of lashes more than these, and I always get SO many compliments when I wear them.
Putting this blog together makes me so excited for all of you who are heading into your workshop weekends! I hope these products help you feel prepared and ready for the weekend ahead!
