NYC “It Girl” Bachelorette Party Ideas

When planning a bachelorette party, there are so many different themes and locations a bride can choose. While I haven't had my own bachelorette party, I can confidently say that one of my best ideas would be a New York City "It Girl" bachelorette party! The city is the perfect place to celebrate, and you can totally feel fabulous and ICONIC if you follow some of the ideas I have listed in this blog!

Eloise

If you're ready to embrace your inner-city child, there is no better place to stay than The Plaza Hotel. While I recently had the chance to stay in the Eloise Suite, the standard rooms are GORGEOUS and make you feel like a princess. To embrace how Eloise lived, I recommend having an afternoon tea in The Palm Court, shopping on Fifth Avenue, taking a relaxing bubble bath, and finishing the night with delicious room service. You will feel so luxurious sleeping in your cozy hotel bed after a long day in the city!

Blair Waldorf

Blair Waldorf might be my favorite NYC "it girl," which is why I've even spent an entire day dedicated to living like her. Blair knows she is Queen B, and so should you as you celebrate your bachelorette party! To capture the Waldorf essence, take a trip to eat yummy macaroons at Ladureé, followed by drinks at The Campbell Bar at Grand Central Station. These locations are also perfect for pictures, so make sure to wear a stylish outfit. For dinner, make a reservation at Butter, one of the most iconic restaurants in Gossip Girl history. You'll feel like one of the Upper East Side elites after any of these stops.

Holly Golightly

No NYC "it girl" bachelorette party is complete without living out your Breakfast at Tiffany's dreams. While it is essential to take some time window shopping at the Fifth Avenue Tiffany's location where they filmed the movie, you can actually eat breakfast inside at the Blue Box Café! Will and I got to go here for my birthday, and it has become one of my favorite memories in the city. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to sit around with all my closest friends and celebrate while acting out my Audrey Hepburn dreams!

Giselle

Your wedding is one of the most magical moments in your life that feels like a fairytale, so embrace that fairytale vibe by taking a day to stroll around Central Park like Giselle from Enchanted! From the Bethesda Fountain to Bow Bridge, so many moments of the movie were filmed there that you will feel like you are IN the movie. I recommend taking time to do the row boats and having a picnic while you people-watch. Central Park is one of the most beautiful places in the city, and it's a great way to escape the city vibes for a little while!

Andy Sachs

When thinking about the city, it is almost impossible not to think about how fashionable it is. The Devil Wears Prada is one of my fave films that shows how fabulous the city can be, and it alludes to one of the most iconic fashion events, The Met Gala! So spend a day like Andy Sachs, walking through the Met Exhibition and admiring all the fashion that looks like art! Afterward, snag a reservation at Bubby's on Hudson Street to have a celebratory dinner like Andy did after she scored the job at Runway magazine!

Rachel Berry

While Rachel Berry from Glee didn't always live in the city, she definitely made the most of it once she moved there! Everything about Rachel's life revolved around theater, so live like her and head to Broadway to see a musical! One of my recent favorites was Chicago, and honestly, nothing feels more New York than taking time to enjoy the arts. After the show has finished, take time to eat at Ellen's Stardust Diner, where the servers sing you show tunes! Rachel started out in a singing diner, so who knows what future star will serve you your dinner!

Serena van der Woodsen

No NYC "it girl" list is complete without the iconic Serena van der Woodsen. Serena lived an effortlessly fun life, so embody her while you spend some time at the best rooftop bars NYC has to offer. One of my favorites is The Empire Rooftop, which is located in the Empire Hotel. I love to order the XOXO, Gossip Girl drink, and a side of truffle cheese tots. If you're still in the partying mood, head over to Mr. Purple for a night of dancing and sharing secrets with your girls!

Writing this blog made me want to jump off my couch and run around the city pretending I'm the latest "it girl!" If you follow some of my advice for your NYC bachelorette party, I hope you have the best time ever and feel like the star you are as everyone comes together to celebrate you!
